Deciva is a small product built to help you make everyday decisions faster. This page explains — in plain language — what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. If any of this feels unclear, write to us at rahulbijarniya00@gmail.com.
When you sign up, we collect your name, email, city, age bracket, and the food preferences you set during onboarding (dietary rules, allergies, cuisines you like, cuisines you avoid).
When you use the app, we log the decisions we generate for you and the ones you pick. This helps us suggest better next time and avoid repeating dishes you've seen recently.
If you allow location access, we use your latitude and longitude only to fetch current weather and city context for that request. We do not store your precise coordinates.
Everything we collect exists to make suggestions relevant to you. Dietary rules protect you from getting food you can't eat. Preferences shape what you see. History prevents repeats. Weather and location tune picks to what feels right today.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with anyone except the services we technically need to run the app.
Supabase stores your account and preferences.
OpenAI processes the context of each decision to generate suggestions. Your context (mood, hunger, dietary, weather etc.) is sent as an API request. OpenAI states they do not train on API data by default. We send only what's needed for the current request — no long-term identity, no email.
OpenWeatherMap returns weather when you grant location access. We send only latitude and longitude.
Vercel hosts the app and processes network requests.
You can update your profile and food preferences from Settings anytime.
You can delete your account and all associated data by writing to us at the email above. We will remove your data within 7 days.
You can request a copy of all data we hold about you by writing to us. We'll send it in a readable format within 14 days.
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. That's it — no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.
Deciva is intended for users 13 and older. If you are under 13, please do not use the app.
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
